801A Precision Dual Channel Charge Amplifier

The 801A is a precision dual channel amplifier designed
specifically for transducer calibration, with its performance
optimised to be compatible with the Beran
475 and 485
calibration systems. The 801A measures the charge output
from piezoelectric transducer. The unit supplies the
excitation and measures the output from ICP transducers
as well as measuring voltage outputs from any other
devices.
Either the 475 or the PC based 485 TransCal™ Workstation
automatically control the operation of the 801A, for
input source and gain settings. The two matched precision
amplifiers provide independently configurable dynamic
conditioning for both the reference and test transducers.
This enables transducers of different types to be calibrated
against the same reference transducer. The 801A can
also be used as a standalone two-channel precision charge
amplifier for general purpose signal conditioning.

801B Conditioning Amplifier
The 801B is used with the 801A and in conjunction
with either the 475
Laboratory TransCal™ or 485
TransCal™ Workstation to automate the DC
calibration of piezoresistive transducers.
The unit contains a programmable, precision bridge
power supply, together with a DC voltage measurement
and a resistance measurement capability. Via a plug-in
card, unique transducer bridge
completion resistors and calibration shunts may be
configured by the user. This ensures complete calibration
flexibility, allowing each transducer type to have
a dedicated set-up, guaranteeing a comprehensive,
accurate calibration is performed
every time.
